The concept of intensively studying programming in such a relaxing environment is amazing - I learnt what would have taken me weeks and months to figure out here in one week. I had an absolutely wonderful yet productive time at the bootcamp!

Angular in Flip Flops

25-30 June 2018, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Angular in Flip Flops was not a regular training course. It was a knowledge-and-action-packed experience.

We kicked off the bootcamp with a full-day trip around Gran Canaria. We went hiking around the Roque Nublo. We climbed the sand dunes of Maspalomas. And we got to know each other.

Over the next 4 days, we were learning Angular 6 in Soppa de Azul — a co-working space for entrepreneurs and artists. The workshops and coding labs were run by Pascal Precht and Dominic Elm from thoughtram.

It was inspiring to be surrounded by like-minded people and world-class experts who were always there to help whenever we got stuck.

Angular in Flip Flops culminated in a two-day hackathon during which we built Angular projects from scratch.

To recharge our batteries, we took surfing and yoga classes, visited the Old Town for a tapas night and chilled out together at beach-front restaurants.

We believe that removing all distractions of everyday life and focusing for a week on one thing — learning a new stack — allows developers to learn, develop new skills and build projects faster than ever before.
